Cantonese Shoji

Not THAT Canton. Shoji are traditional Japanese screens and are often intertwined with nature and philosophy. This particular pattern was inspired by the sun rising over Reservoir Pond in Canton, MA. The wood was left unfinished. As it naturally ages, it will darken in contrast to the traditional white rice paper. This piece was built for Season 4 of Rough Cut Woodworking with Tommy Mac.
